Looking back on the year that’s passed as well as preparing to welcome in the New Year, there’s plenty to see and do. While the annual Windermere Christmas Celebration has been postponed, it does however free up time to spend elsewhere.
The likes of Muncaster Castle or a day out on the Lake District border at the Carlisle market are both known for festive fun. Likewise, craft stalls at Holker Hall or the nearby Keswick Victorian Fayre are ideal for those minute gifts or festive decorations.
Then there’s the Windermere Lake Cruises or Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, famed for their special rides during December. Whereby you have the potential to raise a glass upon the water or keep an eye out as Santa Clause stops by to make an appearance.
