With March just around the corner, Spring is on its way! As such, what better time to book a weekend away or spa break in the Lake District. The crowds are often still fairly sparse compared to the summer yet most attractions are open as normal.
Likewise, you’ll find fewer people out and about when it comes to those afternoon walks or while jumping on public transport. Although, as for how to get about in the Lake District a train ride is more than just a quick journey. You’ll be able to see fields of bluebells, daffodils and newborn lambs, symbolic of the change in season throughout Cumbria.
