Things to do in the Lake District

Come rain or shine, there’s always plenty of things to do in the Lake District. Whether that be taking a walk out into the countryside, relaxing under the sun at your hot tub suite or sheltering from the rain at nearby attractions.

After all, the chance to get away is something to relish whatever the weather. By booking a stay at our Aphrodites Spa Hotels, you’ll find yourself staying close to Lake Windermere. Here, guests can stroll down to the jetty for a romantic picnic or take a trip along the water.

Embracing the views as you board the Windermere Lake Cruises, maybe even dive straight in instead for some wild water swimming. As for those slightly more unpredictable days, there are local attractions such as Wray Castle, the Lakes Aquarium or a trip on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway.
